Aduana Stars head coach Joseph Asare Bediako has revealed that his technical bench had to map up a strategy to apply the brakes on Kotoko midfield duo of Mudasiru Salifu and Fabio Gama.
The former Hearts of Oak assistant trainer reacted to his side’s 0-0 draw with Kotoko at the Nana Agyeman Gyawu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.
Bediako says his side were just unlucky with the chances they created though he agrees the game could have fallen to any of the sides.
However he reveals he had to map up a strategy to stop Mudasiru Salifu and Fabio Gama in the Kotoko midfield.
“Luck just did not smile on us in the game because we created some decent chances that we could have scored. I think it was a 50-50 game. They possessed at time and at other times we also came strongly into the game. We mapped up some strategies which would be difficult for you to read if you are not a reader of the game. We were just looking out for some individual players – Mudasiru and Gama were perfect dribblers so we mapped up those strategies to break them down,” he told Prince Annan in the post match interview.
The point had moved Aduana Stars to 40 points and perhaps to 7th temporary on the table depending on outcome of some of Sunday’s fixtures.
