Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu is hoping more of his players will earn national team call ups by the end of the season.
None of the Phobians players was able to make the grades in Charles Akonnor’s 30-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
There are two players from Kotoko and one from Division One League side Steadfast FC from the local league.
Meanwhile Ghana U23 head coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin surprisingly overlooked in-form Ibrahim Salifu for next month’s international friendlies against Japan in Tokyo.
However following social media bashing the Ghana FA made a quick U-turn to include the former Techiman Eleven Wonders talisman in his team.
Boadu is unhappy about the trend wants to see an end to the run by the time the season comes to a close.
“We are still on course, I think this is my two months here and I believe that at the end of the season things will change.
“I feel so bad that most of the players are not in the national team.
“I hope and I believe that at the end of the season, some of them will be called to the various national teams,” Samuel Boadu said.
