Clubs in the Ghanaian top-flight league have widely failed to produce consistency in the league as competition at the summit of the table heats up while others battling themselves out of the relegation dungeon.
Giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have shared the top spot of the ladder with 46 points apiece with the Phobians only enjoying better goal aggregate.
Clubs have appointed coaches 44 times since the start of the season with Hearts, Kotoko, AshantiGold, King Faisal, Aduana Stars and Inter Allies all changing coaches more than 3 times with relegation-trapped Allies using 3 different coaches. 15 out of 18 Ghana Premier League have sacked multiple coaches in the course of the season. Only WAFA, Ebusua Dwarfs and Techiman Eleven Wonders have not altered their technical bench since the start of the campaign.
Just like all other 18 clubs in the league Hearts and Kotoko have failed to achieve consistency with results same as their consistency with technical bench.
Hearts of Oak, who are table-toppers after matchday 26, have passed through four different technical hands with Samuel Boadu being the 4th personality in the instalment.
Since taking charge in early March the former Medeama coach has won 7 out of 10 game, lost 2 and drawn 1.
Meanwhile Kotoko on the other hand has also used four coach in the course of the season. The Porcupine Warriors sacked Maxwell Konadu following a painful loss to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium. Johnson Smith was installed as interim coach was the Kumasi giants were forced to appoint Abdulai Gazelle due to certification issues. The Nana Yaw Amponsah led administration later appointed Portuguese trainer and former Ghana national team coach Mariano Barreto who has been in charge of the club since his appointment in late March.
Inconsistency at the top of the table with respective to the technical benches is a phenomenon that runs through almost all the clubs in the league.
