Ghana international forward Sherifatu Sumaila has won the Israeli Ligat Al Women with Maccabi Kiryat Gat.
The feat means the 24-year-old, who is capped over 30 times by Ghana, will now feature in next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League with the Israeli outfit.
Despite enduring a season littered with minor injuries the former Djurgarden and LA Galaxy OC player scored some important goals for Kiryat Gat in their title hunt.
She has revealed details on her Facebook page following the triumph.
The Tamale-born is a former Ghana U17 and U20 international.
