The much anticipated Ghana Premier League clash between giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC has been called off, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.
The reports by the Ghanaian football news outlet claims that the National Sports Authority, the body in charge of the Accra Sports Stadium, has shut down the venue for maintenance and renovation works at the venue.
Hearts’ clash with Accra Great Olympics last Sunday saw some fans overpower security installation at the Accra Sports Stadium and broke down one of the gates at the center.
This has called for the maintenance and renovation works causing the facility management outfit to call for a postponement of the game.
This becomes the second game to be postpone on matchday 29 after the game between Kotoko and Inter Allies which was scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Dawu was called off due to Ghana’s international friendly engagement with Ivory Coast in Cape Coast on Saturday.
