Ghana U23 coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has benched Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richmond Ayi in favour of Vision FC’s William Essu in the Black Meteors’ starting XI to take on Japan.
The 18-year-old glovesman, who deputised for Ibrahim Danlad at the U20 AFCON, has now gotten the nod to start ahead of the Hearts goalkeeper.
Meanwhile Legon Cities forward Jonah Attuquaye will lead the attack for the team. Spain-based duo of Samuel Obeng and Sabit Abdullai are also in action for the team.
