German giants Hamburg SV have confirmed the departure of Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung from the club.
Jung, 26, spent seven seasons at the Volksparkstadion making 108 appearances for the club and scoring twice.
Hamburg have officially announced on their Facebook page and wished the midfielder well in his future endeavours.
Jung joined Hamburg in 2014 from RW Oberhausen and grew through the youth ranks at the club before making a breakthrough in the senior side.
The midfielder was born to Ghanaian parents in Germany and has represented the European nation at the U21 level 5 times.
