Dreams FC away just a goal away from equaling the longest scoring run in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The current longest scoring run is held by Elmina Sharks who scored in 11 consecutive games.
If Dreams score against Techiman Eleven Wonders next week in Dawu the Believers will equal the record set by Sharks in the season.
Sharks who were led by Yaw Acheampong at the time scored in every single game from matchday 1 to matchday 11 until they drew 0-0 with Eleven Wonders in Techiman in matchday 12.
That record is on the verge of being equaled by Dreams who have gone on a 10-game scoring run. On Sunday they moved within a goal of equaling the record when Huzaf Ali scored the equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Dreams FC in Dawu.
Incidentally Dreams are also the highest scoring side in the league having notched 42 goals with Hearts of Oak being the second highest scoring side with 40 goals in 29 games.
The last time Dreams failed to score in a match was when they lost 2-0 to Medeama at the Akoon Park on matchday 19. Since then Vladislav Virić’s side have been on an admirable scoring run and have hit the back of the net in all of their last 10 games in the league.
Other teams who attempted going on a such record are WAFA who went on a 9-game scoring run, Bechem United 8, Ebusua Dwarfs 8 and Karela United 7.
