Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have parted ways with Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius Silva de Morais over the player’s request for a three-month leave without pay.
However Accra-based Asempa FM have reported that Kotoko sacked the striker over his addiction to banned substances and even played an audio interview with a Brazilian journalist who revealed that striker had previously abused cocaine and other drugs in the past.
On Wednesday evening a Kumasi-based journalist reported that Vinicius had reached a point where it became difficult for Kotoko to manage and control his attitude.
According to Andy Obeng Kwaku on Thursday morning the player severally used the f-word on head coach Mariano Barreto as well as other players and technical team members of the club.
The night life of the former Fluminense forward also became a huge problem for Kotoko to deal with and at several time failed to attend training session.
