Ghana’s Black Meteors will come face to face with South Korea’s Olympic Team in Jeju in an international friendly on Saturday morning.
The East Asians are preparing towards their participation in this summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo and will use the Black Meteors double-header as a dress rehearsal for the task ahead of them. Korea are in Group B together with New Zealand, Honduras and European side Romania.
Ghana, a team from West Africa, on the other hand failed to qualify for the games after losing out to South African during the U23 AFCON in Egypt in 2019. But, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin, head coach of the Ghana U23 team is supposed to use the friendly line ups to begin a rebuilding project towards Ghana’s campaign in the 2023 African Games which will be hosted by Ghana.
However things have not started on a desirous note for the Black Meteors as they have already fallen 10-0 on aggregate to Japan in Fukuoka. Fabin and his charges will be desperate to glean some positive results against the Koreans when they take them on Saturday morning.
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed both games on their website and announced the kick off time for the game.
