Ghana international defender Samuel Sarfo has revealed details about how he got the opportunity to represent Ghana at the senior level.

The 30-year-old former Liberty Professionals was on security duty with the Black Stars at the Alisa Hotel in Accra when he was introduced to the President of then Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Sarfo, who had then scored several goals for Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League, later go the opportunity to play for the Black Stars in 2017.

The defender has revealed on GTV Sports+’ The File show hosted by Benjamin Willie Graham details of how he got introduced to the Ghana FA hierarchy.

“I was on duty with as a police security officer at the Black Stars camp in Alisa Hotel back then when I was stationed at the Nima Division of the police. While I was there I was introduced to the then GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi by vice President then Mr George Afriyie and things started picking up from there,” he said on GTV Sports’ The File show.

Sarfo, who currently plies his trade with Saudi side Al-Khaleej, is capped two times by Ghana’s Black Stars.

He was a member of the Ghana Black Stars B side that won gold at the 2017 WAFU Championshop.
