Ghanaian defender Samuel Inkoom scored an imperious finish for Torpedo Kutaisi when they drew 1-1 with his former club Samtredia in the Georgian Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga on Wednesday afternoon.
The former Asante Kotoko and FC Basel right-back, 32, levelled the scoring for the home side on the 57th minute mark at Stadion Ramaz Shengelia.
Inkoom paced himself into space to receive an inviting pass from Algerian Mehdi Boukassi inside the area. After observing the positioning of the goalkeeper and the loose in the Samtredia defence the defender expertly fired at goal and finished with aplomb to the delight of the home side who had conceded in the first-half.
This becomes Inkoom’s first goal of the season for Torpedo but has provided three assists in 13 games so far in the season.
