Ghana suffered yet another embarrassing defeat in their East Asian tour after losing 3-1 against South Korea’s Olympic Team in Jeju on Saturday evening in Korea.
The East Asians took a 28th minute lead from a glancing header inside the box when Young-woo Seol headed a cross past William Essu in the Ghana post.
Ten minutes later Jin-ya Kim was sent off for stabbing his boot’s stud into the ankle of Ghana left-back Samuel Abbey Ashie-Quaye.
The first-half ended 1-0 in favour of the Koreans. Korea, who are in Group B together with New Zealand, Romania and Honduras in the 2020 Olympic Games scored two more goals before Samuel Obeng Gyabaah came off the bench to score the consolation goal for Ghana.
Ghana will take on the Koreans again on Tuesday at the same venue.
So far Ghana have conceded 14 goals and scored just 1 from three games in their tour of East Asia.
