Ebusua Dwarfs head coach James Kuuku Dadzie has denied granting the interview in which he made match-fixing allegation against Asante Kotoko and King Faisal.

The 71-year-old is on tape to have claimed on Kumasi-based Mynd FM that the Porcupine Warriors fixed their matchday 32 clash with King Faisal at the Len Clay Stadium.

But, the former Ghana international defender has flatly denied ever granting such interview and insists he hasn’t spoken to any radio station after the end of the match.

“I have not granted any such interview to any radio station. No radio station has ever called since we finished the game on Sunday,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

Dadzie, who was appointed to the role of Dwarfs head coach barely three weeks ago following the resignation of Ernest Quartey Thompson, claims the matchday 32 game involving Kotoko and King Faisal at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi was fixed.

The match involving Kotoko and King Faisal ended 1-1 after striker Andy Kumi came off the bench to score a goal that cancelled out a 12th minute goal scored by Ibrahim Zuberu.

Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association has charged the former Asante Kotoko defender for his comments which the football governing body says it could potential drag the name of the game in the mud and cause damage to Kotoko, King Faisal and the image of Ghana Football.

A Ghana FA statement reads: “The Compliance and Integrity officer of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has taken notice of a statement made by Ebusua Dwarfs coach James Kuuku Dadzie – alleging that King Faisal played a fixed match against Asante Kotoko on match day 32 of the Ghana Premier League. Per the provisions of the GFA Disciplinary Code and Code of Ethics, Kuuku Dadzie has a duty to disclose or provide such information to the Association to deal with it. Kuuku Dadzie therefore has by close of business on Thursday, July 8 to provide the Integrity and Compliance officer all relevant information and or evidence required of him through Email integrity@ghanafa.org or call/WhatsApp 0593 371735. He can also submit written evidence and present to the office of the General Secretary in Accra. Failing which will attract charges of bringing the game into disrepute and tarnishing the image of Asante Kotoko SC, King Faisal Babes FC and the Ghanaian game.”
