Hearts of Oak needed to change coach fourteen times before Samuel Boadu arrived on the scene to win the Phobians the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in 11 years.
The Phobians, 2000 winners of the CAF Champions League and former winners of the Confederation Cup (2004), have won the Ghanaian top-flight title for the first time since 2009.
Serbian trainer Kosta Papic was the last coach to have won the league title for Hearts and ever since his departure no other coach has been able to claim the title for the capital club. Though Papic made a return this season but he failed to win it as he left the scene after just a month in charge.
Boadu left Medeama to replace Papic left to join South African side Black Leopards. The talented tactician took over from stop-gap trainer Samuel Nii Noi.
