Ghanaian boxer Samuel Takyi will face Colombia’s Avila Segura Ceiber David in the quarter-finals of the men’s 52-57 Kg featherweight boxing on August 1, 2021 in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Takyi, 20, mauled his Ecuadorian opponent in Olympic boxing bout. He advances to the quarter-final after his unanimous (5-0) triumph.
Ceiber David defeated an African opposition in Zambia’s Everisto Mulenga (3-2) in the round of 16 bout at the same arena where Takyi won his bout. Ceiber, 32, also won his round of 32 bout (5-0) against Jordanian boxer Mohammad Alwadi.
The bout will take place at the at the Kokugikan Arena which is located in the Yokoami neighborhood of Sumida, one of the 23 wards of Tokyo in Japan.
It Takyi defeats Ceiber, he will be in the medal zone.
