Ghana international forward Sandra Owusu Ansah has revealed she is still adapting to the culture in Serbia after moving to Spartak Subotica earlier this month.
The 21-year-old debuted for Subotica in the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday afternoon in Enschede just a little over two weeks after joining the club from West African nation Ghana.
After finding herself in a new cultural setting the 2-time capped Ghana international striker tells Ghana Sports Online she is adjusting to her new environment.
“It’s quiet difficult but I have to manage. There are few people who can speak English and it’s okay for me,” he said.
After lasting 62 minutes on her debut for Subotica in the Women’s top-tier club competition in Europe the former Supreme Ladies striker says she conditioned herself for her debut appearance in the competition.
“Obviously it was my first time playing in the champions league so I was ready to feel it. Also I know this a super competition and every player would like to feel it,” she added.
