Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have sharply watered down reports claiming experienced team manager Saban Quaye has returned to the club.
Reports carried by a section of the online media in the West African nation claim the former Black Stars team manager had returned to the capital club after exiting the club a couple of months ago.
But Hearts in a statement dismissed the reports claiming he has returned to the club.
“The Hearts of Oak management will want to put on record that the club’s former team manager, Sylvester Nii Sabahn Quaye has not returned to the club in any capacity as speculated on some media platforms. Sabahn, a former Black Stars team manager is currently attached to another Ghana Premier League club. The story about his return is highly speculative and misleading. We will entreat all media houses to always confirm stories about our club with club officials before going public,” a statement published on the official website of Hearts of Oak reads.
Quaye left Hearts of Oak in February together with Serbian trainer Kosta Papic.
