Hearts of Oak’s decision not to submit the name of attacking midfielder Abdul Umar Manaf as part of their 36-man squad for the CAF Champions League campaign.
The reason why the prolific attacking midfielder did not make the squad is not footballing reasons, Ghana Sports Online understands.
Manaf, 27, has discrepancies with his date of birth and the Ghanaian double champions have notified the Ghana FA to verify the actual birthday whose response did not come on time before the deadline day with CAF.
As a result the Phobians were forced to leave out the midfielder from their squad for the competition.
