2021 CalBank Golf Championship records huge patronage – Yao Dogbe & Cynthia Nyantakyi crowned champions

The event which was held at the Achimota Golf Course recorded huge patronage compared to last years' event.

2021 CalBank Golf Championship records huge patronage – Yao Dogbe & Cynthia Nyantakyi crowned champions

The 2021 edition of the CalBank Open Golf Championship ended on Saturday 18th September 2021 with over 167 golfers participating in the event.

The event which was held at the Achimota Golf Course recorded huge patronage compared to last years’ event.

Ghana Sports OnlineThe managing director of CalBank Mr. Philip Owiredu in his address said that the event which recorded huge participants showed the importance of the Golf championship.

He added, “Our vision is to make this competition the biggest golf competition in the country and we hope that in the future, we will have several other players from within the sub-region coming in to play with us”.

Ghana Sports OnlineAmong the notable surprises was the addition by CFAO who provided a Suzuki vehicle as a prize for any golfer that made a hole-in-one.

Ghana Sports OnlineHowever, the car remained unclaimed as no golfer was able to make the hole-in-one.

The winners

Yao Dogbe emerged as the overall winner of the men’s category with a gross score of 67, while Cynthia Nyantakyi emerged as the overall winner of the women’s category with a gross score of 83.

2nd Christine Furler (HCP 15, Gross 87, Net72)
3rd Mercy Werner (HCP 11, Gross 84, Net 73)

Men’s Group B

1st Michael Y. Agbodzah (HCP 20, Gross 84, Net 64)
2nd Dr. Nana Adutwum Mensah (HCP 24, Gross 91, Net 67)
3rd Ricus Turblanche (HCP 16, Gross 84, Net 68)

Women’s Group B

1st Patricia Adusei-Poku (HCP 32, Gross 102, Net 70)
2nd Kunadu Agyemang (HCP 33, Gross 104, Net 71)
