There is uncertainty blowing over the future of decorated midfielder Gladson Awako at Hearts of Oak following a latest interview granted by the former TP Mazembe midfielder’s agent.
Awako, 30, hasn’t trained with the Phobians for several weeks despite signing a contract with the Phobians just about a month ago.
On Saturday, Ghanasportsonline.com published the story of the midfielder’s decision to quits the Ghanaian double winners over claims of spiritual attacks.
Awako is currently managed under the consortium owned by former Asante Kotoko and Ghana midfielder Yussif Chibsah.
Chibsah has spoken to Accra-based Asempa FM about the future of the one-time CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, and CAF Super Cup winner.
“Hearts of Oak gave Awako permission to hold personal training. We won’t address issues in public. It has nothing to do with financial obligations. Hearts paid everything to the player. It’s likely he may play or may not play for Hearts but we have to meet the club to discuss his future,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite Show.
