Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed is close to joining Hearts of Oak on a free transfer, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.
The 24-year-old is among 8 players who have been transfer-listed by the Porcupine Warriors for an undisclosed reason.
According to Kumasi-based Pure FM, Hearts of Oak have established contact with the player and he is close to joining the club.
The Sunyani-born former AshantiGold can play in central defence, as a defensive midfielder, and also as a lateral defender.
If he is able to seal a move to the Phobians he will not be able to go into their CAF Champions League squad unless the Ghanaian champions are able to gatecrash the group stages of the competition, by which time the second registration window will be opened.
