Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to play football on the grass of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine warriors were forced to leave the venue after the government of Ghana through the National Sports Authority(NSA) closed it down for repair works in February 2020.
Asante Kotoko played the entire 2020/21 domestic and continental championships in Accra and Obausi, a situation the club claims prevented them from winning any silverware.
With the Baba Yara sports stadium almost completed, the club has chosen it as their first option and the Len Clay Stadium as its alternative venue should the Babayara Stadium not get ready by the beginning of the season.
In other venues, Accra based Legon cities who played the 2020/21 campaign at the Accra sports stadium will move to Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics will maintain the Accra sports stadium with Accra Lions joining them whiles Kumasi King Faisal joins Kotoko at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
