This is Samuel Boadu’s Hearts of Oak starting XI vs Accra Lions – Black Stars trio start

Richard Attah, Fatawu Mohammed and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh have all earned their starts

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has named Black Stars trio of Richard Attah, Fatawu Mohammed and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in his starting XI to face Accra Lions in a pre-season friendly game on Sunday afternoon.

The Phobians step up their preparations for September 19 CAF Champions League play-off clash with Guinean opposition CI Kamsar.

With the trio who travelled with the Black Stars to South Africa for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Bafana Bafana available Boadu has opted to ring changes in his starting eleven.

Larry Sumaila who filled the void created by Fatawu’s absence in the friendlies against Tema Youth and ASKO de Kara drops to the bench with the captain now available.

Salifu Ibrahim, Frederick Ansah Botchway and Emmanuel Nettey all have starting berths as well as Isaac Mensah who has scored twice in pre-season games.

With Raddy Ovouka’s late arrival William Dankyi has held down his place in the squad.
