Bankroller of AshantiGold Kwaku Frimpong has blocked Medeama’s move to sign goalkeeper Kofi Mensah, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.
The 24-year-old was impressive for the Miners in the 2020/21 Ghanaian season as he helped the Miners reach the MTN FA Cup finals.
Medeama’s new coach Ignatius Osei Fosu placed the former Tema Youth gloveman on his wishlist as the club seek a replacement for Frank Boateng whose contract was terminated at the end of the season.
However, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, the Miners’ bankroller, has blocked the transfer.
