It is unlikely Ghana will have Wakaso Mubarak for the 2021 AFCON Group C second game against Gabon on Friday evening in Yaounde due to injury.
According to Asempa FM broadcast journalist Andy Obeng Kwaku reporting from Cameroon, the midfielder was seen limping in the stance during the Black Stars’ 1-0 loss to Morocco on Monday afternoon.
The 31-year-old has not kicked a ball at any level since featuring 90 minutes in Ghana’s 1-0 win over South Africa in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification series.
Despite being injured Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac named the Shenzen midfielder in his squad for the tournament.
It is unknown whether the midfielder will be fit to play for Ghana in the next group game against Gabon.
