Elmina Sharks striker Tahir Mensah brimming with confidence after netting hat-trick

Highly-rated Ghanaian youth attacker Tahir Mensah is brimming with confidence after netting a hat-trick to guide Elmina Sharks to the next stage of the MTN FA Cup competition.

Tahir, 21, struck all three goals for his side who put up a dominant display in the round of 32 tie which took place at the Ampian Aak II Sports Arena.

“It was great scoring a hat-trick in the competition. But, of course, it was a team performance and I shouldn’t get the individual credit for it. I scored a hat-trick but, I couldn’t have done that without my teammates. It is a good way to get things going in the Cup even though things are not going well for us in the league,” he told Ghanasportsonline.com.

Sharks will have to wait to find out their opponents in the Round 16 of the competition.
