Former Bechem United defender Asante Agyemang is brimming with confidence about the chances of his former club in the 2022 MTN FA Cup final.
Agyeman, 28, was in action for the Hunters in the 2016 final as they triumphed over Okwahu United at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Bechem reached the final of the competition after eliminating Aduana Stars FC in the semi-finals.
After watching his former side in action in the knockout clash, he is optimistic about their chances of winning their second major title.
“I trust the players to repeat what we did against Okwaku United in 2016 when we beat Okwahu United in Cape Coast. I’m highly confident of a victory over Hearts of Oak in Kumasi on the 26th of June 2022,” he told Alex Kobina Stonne on Adom FM.
Augustine Okrah recently got a Black Stars call-up from head coach Otto Addo but the pocket-sized winger couldn’t make the grades after being left in the stands in the 3-0 win over Madagascar in the 2022 AFCON qualifiers.
Despite that, the towering center spoke high of the midfield gem who has scored over 15 goals in 35 appearances for Bechem in all competitions this season.
“The players are doing extremely well and I will single out Augustine Okrah for praise. I think the entire team has done very good work so far this season,” he praised the squad and former Asante Kotoko winger Okrah.
