Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has named his starting XI as Ghana take on Benin in the 2022 African Nations Championship qualifier on Sunday afternoon in Cape Coast.
Walker, who doubles as head coach for Ghana Premier League Great Olympics, has settled on Asante Kotoko left-back Imoro Ibrahim to start at left-back. The choice sees Hearts of Oak’s Dennis Korsah dropped to the bench.
The experienced Vincent Atinga, who excelled at the 2017 WAFU Tournament on home soil, has lost his place to WAFA’s Konadu Yiadom in central defence.
Meanwhile, dethroned league champions Hearts of Oak have four starters in the squad. Defender Mohammed Alhassan, Suraj Seidu, skipper Gladson Awako, and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh are all part of the Phobians contingent starting the game.
League champions Asante Kotoko have goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and Imoro in the line-up.
Below is the starting XI for the side.
Danlad Ibrahim – Augustine Randolph, Imoro Ibrahim, Mohammed Alhassan, Konadu Yiadom – Gladson Awako (C), Suraj Seidu, Kasim Razak, Jonah Attuquaye – Evans Osei-Wusu, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh
