The Ghana Premier League is set to lose another striker going into next season as an Austrian Bundesliga side looks set to complete the signing of the promising forward.
SK Sturm Graz, a club that competes in the Austrian elite division, have opened negotiations with the representatives of Zubairu Ibrahim with the player himself traveling to the Central European country.
Zubairu scored 7 league goals in 23 appearances for King Faisal last season and featured prominently for the Ghana U20 side in their failed qualification series to the U20 AFCON as well as the Toulon Tournament.
King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Grusah confirmed his imminent departure to Kumasi-based Akoma FM: “Zubairu Ibrahim has been sold and soon there will be an official announcement on his sale. He is expected to arrive in Ghana in the coming days to complete all talks. I cannot disclose the team but it’s not a French team.
