Budding defender Dawuni Yahaya has earned a late call-up into the Ghana U23 squad as head coach Ibrahim Tanko fine-tunes his squad ahead of next month’s Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifier.
The West African powerhouse take on the winner of the clash between Mozambique U23 and Mauritius U23 in a two-legged affair.

Head coach Tanko, who named an initial 27-man squad has handed a late invitation to the tough 19-year-old defender who plays in the second-tier league for Susubiribi Sporting Club.
Dawuni, who joined the Akyem Old Tafo-based club two seasons ago, netted twice in 26 games during the 2021/22 season for the Yellow and Greens and is expected to justify his quality to the technical handlers of the team.
