Ghanaian youth winger Osman Haqi highlighted his supreme form in the 2022/23 season in Turkey by scoring and winning a penalty for Yeni Malatyaspor in their 2-2 drawn game with Genclerbirligi in the Turkish second-tier league on Saturday afternoon.
Haqi, a 2020 Ghana U20 trainee, won a penalty inside the 34th minute for Malatyaspor after he was fouled inside the box by a Genclerbirligi defender. The penalty was eventually converted by Baris Basdas on the 35th minute mark.
5 minutes after the break, Haqi put his name on the score-sheet as he weaved his way through the opposition defence to score the second goal of the game for Malatyaspor.
Genclerbirligi crawled back into the game as they equalised both goals.
Haqi has now scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 6 league games this season.
He has won 2 penalties for his side.
While he was scoring for his side, midfielder Godfred Donsah was warming the bench for the home side.
