Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have swiftly contacted Bismark Kobi Mensah to take over as head coach of the club following the exit of David Duncan.
Duncan, a former Ghana assistant coach during C.K Akonnor’s reign, was appointed in September 2022 on a one-year deal but he left the Tarkwa-based club on Thursday.
With the Ghanaian top-flight league still in session, the hierarchy of the Mauve and Yellows have quickly established contact with Bismark Kobi Mensah who is also a free agent.
Kobi Mensah, 39, quit his job as head coach of struggling Karela United 8 days ago and is currently in Egypt with Ghana’s CHAN team as a member of the Ghana technical team.
Ghana Sports Online understands that he has agreed in principle to join the former MTN FA Cup winners in February when the CHAN tournament ends in Algeria.
In the interim, Medeama have installed assistant coach Umar Rabi to take charge of the club’s upcoming games in the league.
