Former Real Madrid Academy player Mutiu Adepoju is confident about Victor Osimhen becoming an instant hit in any of the top 5 clubs in Europe right now.
The Napoli striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks. A host of stellar European sides including Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have all been linked with the 24-year-old.
Rumours linking him with a move to the Old Trafford have been strong in recent weeks with the latest reports claiming Erik ten Hag is preparing a summer swoop for him along with Ghanaian wunderkind Mohammed Kudus and Dusan Vlahovic.
Reacting to the reports on Accra-based Asempa FM, Adepoju believes Osimhen will score a lot of goals if he lands in any of the clubs in Europe.
“I would want Osimhen to go to either Real Madrid or Barcelona. If he goes to any of these clubs he is going to score a lot of goals because he will play to his capacity,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
“In the absence of Real Madrid and Barcelona, there are also the options of Manchester United who have reportedly been chasing after his signature. I think the time is ripe for him to take a big leap. He has played in Belgium, France, and now Italy and he is doing very well. I think it is time for him to make the jump to a much bigger league. I believe he is going to do very well in any of these clubs. He is at his peak now,” he added.
