Injured Daniel Amartey watched from the screens as his Leicester City side lost 4-3 against Wolves in the Premier League.

Both Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp were in action for Crystal Palace in their 4-3 loss to Liverpool on Saturday.

Attacker Christian Atsu lasted the entire period of the game for Newcastle United in their 3-0 win over Brighton.

Belgian-born Denis Odoi played in a 3-man backline for Fulham in their 2-1 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur. Dutch-born Ghanaian Timothy Fosu-Mensah did not make the Cottagers squad for the game.

Ghanaian-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey missed Norwich City’s 3-1 home win over Birmingham City with injury.

Aston Villa and Hull City drew 2-2. Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah lasted 59 minutes for Villa.

Huddersfield Town loanee Collin Quaner played 67 minutes for Ipswich Town in their 2-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers.

Reading remain in the relegation zone after losing 2-1 to Derby County on Saturday. Ghanaian defender Andy Kyere Yiadom played 90 minutes for the losers.

Martin O’Neil left out Ghanaian youngster Arvin Appiah from the Nottingham Forest squad in their 1-0 loss to Bristol City.

Striker Kwesi Appiah was not part of the Wimbledon squad for their 4-1 home loss to Barnsley.

Attacker Tariq Fosu was introduced to play the last 11 minutes for Charlton who beat Accrington 1-0. Ghanaian Wilberforce Ocran warmed the Addicks bench.

Former Arsenal youth team goalkeeper Corey Addai and Abumere Ogogo both warmed the bench for Coventry City in their 2-1 loss to Plymouth.


Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu warmed the bench for TSG Hoffenhem when Bayern Munich defeated them 3-1 on Friday.

Ghana-target Derrick Luckassen missed Hertha Berlin’s 3-1 away win over Nurnberg with an ankle injury.

Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso played for Augsburg in their 2-1 home loss to Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Mainz 05 claimed a 3-2 away win over Stuttgart on Saturday. Ghanaian starlet Issah Abass warmed the bench for Mainz while Ghanaian Swedish-born Ghanaian Robin Quaison assisted the second goal for Mainz. Ghanaian Hans Sarpei Nunoo was left out of the Stuttgart.


Getafe dismantled Deportivo Alaves 4-0 on Friday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Black Stars midfielder Wakaso Mubarak was introduced in the 65th minute by the losers and he was booked in the course of the game. Patrick Twumasi was also introduced in the 73rd minute by the Alaves.

Levante posted a 2-0 win over Real Valladolid. Ghana attacker Emmanuel Boateng missed out of the winners squad but Raphael Dwamena warmed their bench. Kumasi-born Mohammed Salisu was also not part of the Valladolid squad in the game.

Ghana-pursuit Inaki Williams was replaced on the 92nd minute by Athletic Club in their 1-1 drawn game with Villarreal.

Thomas Partey played 90 minutes for Atletico Madrid in their 3-0 away win over Huesca.

Midfielder Iddrisu Baba Mohammed played in midfield for Real Mallorca in their 2-0 loss at Osasuna on Sunday.

Richard Boateng was introduced in the second-half by Real Oviedo in their 2-0 away win over Extremadura UD.

Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie did not make the Sporting Gijon squad for their 2-0 home win over Alcorcon.

Numencia posted a 3-2 win over Cordoba. Ghana U23 midfieder Yaw Yeboah played 63 minutes for the winners.


South African Premier League side Orlando Pirates posted a 3-0 win over Horoya Club de Guinea. Brefo Mensah stepped out of the dug-out to replace Ghanaian Sebe Baffour. Godfred Asante and Hudu Yakubu both played 90 minutes for Horoya while Patrick Razak was unused with Mandela Ocansey missing out of the squad for the game.

Ghanaian defender Richard Baffour played at the heart of defence for El Ismaily when Tunisian side Club Africain beat them 2-1 in Egypt.

Nicholas Gyan was in action for Simba of Tanzania when they were battered 5-0 by Congolese side Vita Club.


Australian-born Ghanaian player Kwame Yeboah played 74 minutes for WS Wanderers in their 2-1 home loss to visiting Adelaide United.


Genk perpetuated their impressive run in the Jupiler League with a 3-2 away win over in-form St Truiden. Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo played in defence for the winners but his Ghanaian compatriot Joseph Paintsil was unused. In midfield for Truiden was Ghanaian Samuel Asamoah. Dutch-born Ghanaian Elton Acolatse was not in the losers’ squad for the game.

Belgian-born Ghanaian Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Nana Kwasi Asare both played for Gent and helped them to beat Anderlecht 1-0. Starlet Francis Amuzu played for Anderlecht but Dauda Mohammed was unused as he warmed the bench. French-born Ghanaian Dennis Appiah did not make the Anderlecht squad for the game.

Bennard Kumordzi played in central defence for Kortrijk in their 2-1 away loss to Standard Liege.

Neither Eric Ocansey nor Abdulmanaf Nurudeen was in action for KAS Eupen in their 4-1 win over Lokeren.

Nana Opoku Ampomah was in action for 90 minutes for Waasland-Bereven in their 1-1 draw with Cercle Brugge KSV on Saturday.

Both William Owusu and Daniel Opare were named on the Antwerp bench for their 2-1 away win over Zulte-Waregem. Owusu was introduced in the second-half but Opare was unused.

In the second-tier league youngster Ernest Agyiri played for Tubize in their 0-0 draw with Lommel. Former Manchester City starlet Divine Naah was left out of the Tubize squad for the game.

French-born Ghanaian starlet Godson Kyeremeh did not make the Caen squad for their 1-0 loss against Olympique Marseille.

In the Ligue 2, former Ghana U20 defender Emmanuel Ntim was left out of the Valenciennes squad for their 1-1 draw at Chateauroux.

Ghana defender John Boye played at central defence for Metz in their 2-1 home loss to Clermont.

Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Olympique Lyon loanee Elisha Owusu were both in action for Sochaux in their 0-0 draw with AC Ajaccio.

Attacker Grejohn Kyei warmed the bench for Lens in their 2-1 home win over Nancy.


In the Serie A, Raman Chibsah played in midfield for Frosinone in their 5-0 home loss against Atalanta. Ghanaian youngster Prince Emmanuel Besea warmed the bench for the losers.

Sassuolo held Inter Milan to a 0-0 draw at the Giuseppe Meazza with Sassuolo. Kwadwo Asamoah played 90 minutes for Inter while Alfred Duncan also impressed in midfield for Sassuolo. Kevin-Prince Boateng who has been linked with a shock move to Barcelona also played 90 minutes for Sassuolo squad for the game.

Defender Nicholas Opoku was booked in the first-half and played 90 minutes for Udinese in their 2-1 home loss to Parma.

Midfielder Godfred Donsah was a bench warmer for Bologna in their 1-1 draw at Spal.

Afriyie Acquah lasted 66 minutes for Empoli who fought back to draw 2-2 with Cagliari.

Moses Odjer was not in the Salernitana team for their 2-1 away win over Palermo.

Former Ghana U20 defender Bright Addae was left out of the Ascoli team for their 0-0 draw with Cosenza.

Benevento held Lecce to a 1-1 drawn game on Saturday. Defender Bright Gyamfi was unused by the winners.

In the third-tier league, Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei was in action for Carrarese when they beat Juventus U23 1-0.

Former Fiorentina attacking midfielder Amidu Salifu came off the bench to play for Arezzo in their 1-0 loss to Pro Vercelli.


Ghanaian forward Gabriel Mensah was in action for Pieta Hotspurs in their 3-0 away loss to Birkirkara.

Former Inter Milan Primavera midfielder Isaac Ntow Tuah was sent off while in action for Hibernians in their 2-1 home loss to Valletta.


Midfielder Clifford Aboagye was introduced in the second-half by Atlas in their 2-2 draw with U.N.A.M.- Pumas in the top-flight on Sunday.


Ghanaian Cody Gakpo warmed the bench for giants PSV Eindhoven in their 2-2 drawn game at Emmen.

Former Ajax Amsterdam player Leeroy Owusu played at lateral defence for De Graafschap in their heavy 5-1 win over Fortuna Sittard.

Ghanaian youngster Myron Boadu is still nursing injury and missed AZ Alkmaar’s 3-0 battering of FC Utrecht.

Johnathan Opoku assisted a goal for VVV Venlo in their 4-2 away win over ADO Den Haag. Ghanaian Robin Polley was left out of the Den Haag squad for the game.

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Rodney Antwi warmed the bench for FC Volendam in their 3-1 home loss to FC Eindhoven.

Ghanaian attacker Kevin Luckassen climbed off the bench to play for Almere City in their 2-1 loss at Go Ahead Eagles.

FC Twente won 1-0 against Jong Utrecht. Dutch-born Ghanaian Dereck Darkwa warmed the bench for the losers.

In the third-tier league, Ghanaian trio of Haji Adoma, Alfred Mensah and Samuel Brobbey were in action for Jong Almere City in their 2-0 home loss to visiting AFC.

Former Newcastle United attacker Frank Wiafe Danquah came off the bench to play for Lieden in their 4-0 away loss to Scheveningen.

Veteran defender Carlos Opoku played for Rijnsburgse Boys in their 3-2 win over VVSB. Forward Felicia Lovette Ofori was unused.


Benfica posted a 1-0 win over Vitoria Guimaraes. Ghanaian midfielders Joseph Amoah and Alhassan Wakaso both started the game for Guimaraes.

Lumor Agbenyenu did not make the Sporting Lisbon squad for their 2-1 win over Moreirense on Saturday.

Former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackman warmed the bench for Portimonense in their 2-0 loss against Boavista.

Striker Kwame Nsor was not part of the Academico Viseu squad for their 1-1 draw with Covilha.

Paul Ayongo came off the bench to play for Ferreira in their 3-1 loss to Ferreira.


Ghanaian Babo Seddiqi was in action for 90 minutes for Al Ahli Doha in their 1-0 loss against Al Gharafa.

Attacker Elvis Manu played 74 minutes for Akhisarspor in their 3-1 home loss to Besiktas.

Asamoah Gyan did not make the Kayersirspor squad for their 0-0 away draw with Antalyaspor but Bernard Mensah played full throttle.

Injured Isaac Sackey watched Alanyaspor’s 2-0 win over Sivasspor from the stands.

Caleb Ekuban scored for Trabzonspor and also conceded an own-goal as they lost 4-2 against visiting Basaksehir. Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah warmed the bench for the winners.

In the second-tier league Ghanaian attacker Mahatma Otoo suffered an injury in the 29th minute and was replaced in their 1-0 away loss to Altinordu.


Ghanaian attacker Anas Mohammed played for Polokwane in their 3-3 drawn game with Bidvest Wits.

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori manned the posts for Maritzburg United when they lost 2-0 against Chippa Utd.


Slovan Bratislava lost 3-0 against Brno. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau played in defence for the losers.
